Group Convert + CSV Export: Workflow Guide
Use CSV Export as part of a structured Facebook group lead-capture workflow rather than as a disconnected tool.
Where it fits
The purpose of this workflow is to keep a portable backup or use a manual import workflow. Group Convert’s current order page explicitly describes an option to download data as CSV.
Recommended data path
Start with clear Facebook group membership questions. Capture the fields you actually need, store them in the Group Convert/spreadsheet workflow, then map only permissioned contact data into CSV Export.
Field mapping checklist
At minimum, define email, first name, source group, capture date and the membership answers you genuinely use. Keep source and consent context so downstream messaging stays understandable.
Test before scaling
Run a test applicant through the complete path and confirm the row, field mapping, deduplication behavior and destination in CSV Export. Third-party APIs and connectors change, so treat a successful live test as part of setup.
